Healthcare Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Healthcare Specialist to provide high-quality healthcare services, support patients with their health needs, and contribute to effective patient care and clinical outcomes. The successful candidate will assess patient needs, provide appropriate healthcare guidance, maintain accurate records, and work closely with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
– Assess patients’ healthcare needs and provide appropriate support and guidance.
– Monitor patients’ health conditions and report significant changes to relevant medical professionals.
– Develop and implement appropriate patient care plans within the scope of the role.
– Educate patients and families on health, treatment plans, medications, prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices.
– Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient records.
– Coordinate with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
– Follow established healthcare, safety, infection-control, and patient-care procedures.
– Assist with health assessments, screenings, referrals, and follow-up care where required.
– Respond appropriately to patient concerns and escalate urgent or complex cases.
– Protect patient confidentiality and comply with applicable healthcare regulations and professional standards.
– Participate in health promotion, disease prevention, and community health initiatives.
– Keep up to date with relevant healthcare practices, guidelines, and professional developments.
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional qualification in Healthcare, Nursing, Medicine, Public Health, Allied Health, or a related field.
– Relevant professional registration or certification where required.
– Previous experience in a healthcare, clinical, hospital, community health, or related setting.
– Good understanding of patient care principles and healthcare procedures.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
– Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
